![]() I dropped in the BIOS and set to boot from the DVD drive. I then let the disc (forgive my ignorance) and restarted the PC. I could not click on an option to delete/reformat my partitions and thus abandoned the process. To make changes to partitions, restart Windows from the installation disc Load the driver (I have no idea what is this option) ![]() ![]() However, I was told that I should be able to achieve a COMPLETE clean install delete partitions to force the OS to reformat and recreate the C: partition. Things seem to be ok on my PC, now that I've done this, and I don't take BSoD right now. I ran this and finished installing fine but did not format my drive and it change named my windows to windows.old. I couldn't find an option to delete my partitions and perform a new installation. This is why last week, I took the plunge and decided to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using my UPGRADE disc (the disc is not FULL version) The first time I ran this 'upgrade', I made the mistake of selecting the option UPGRADE instead of using the CUSTOM option.įor some time since I've done the 'upgrade' I got BSOD problems including caused by video and WebCam drivers. I decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit o/s Originally, I had a Windows Vista 64 - bit o/s office. How can I clean installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using a upgrade disc?
